I work across complex and often sensitive family law matters, including high-risk parenting disputes, complex property settlements, surrogacy arrangements and Binding Financial Agreements.
I am a strong advocate for resolving matters outside of court where possible, using mediation and collaborative approaches to achieve practical outcomes. Where litigation is required, I appear regularly in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
Clear communication is central to the way I work. I aim to make complex issues understandable and provide steady guidance while balancing empathy with frank and practical advice.
I am regularly appointed by the Court as an Independent Children’s Lawyer, representing the interests of children in contested parenting matters.
I am the current President of the Law Society of Tasmania and have served on its Council since 2021. I also sit on the board of Dress for Success Tasmania, coordinate family law training at the Centre for Legal Studies, and am a community ambassador for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.
Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, bushwalking and reading. I am also a dedicated participant in the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation’s Frocktober fundraiser, having raised more than $47,000 since 2022.
