I have extensive experience both in Australia and internationally, having spent over a decade working in specialist family law firms in Melbourne, London and the offshore jurisdiction of Jersey in the Channel Islands before returning to Tasmania and Dobson Mitchell Allport in 2018. I am dual-qualified as a barrister & solicitor in Tasmania and a solicitor of England & Wales. As a result, I have a keen interest in cross border family law matters, including international relocation disputes.
Having trained in Collaborative Practice, I take a pragmatic and solutions-focused approach to tackling family law disputes. I work hard to build a close rapport with my clients to deliver strong outcomes through either negotiation or litigation.
I am a Nationally Accredited Mediator for both parenting and financial matters and regularly chair family law related mediations. I am the Tasmanian Representative on the Australian Institute of Family Law Mediators and Arbitrators National Board.
I currently sit on the Family Law Committee of the Law Society of Tasmania, and I am a member of the Family Law Practitioners Association of Tasmania.
I am listed in Doyle’s Guide as a Leading Family Lawyer in Tasmania and a Recommended Family Law Mediator.
Outside of work, I am a dad to two energetic kids and when I’m not running around after them, I’m running for enjoyment or planning the family’s next travel adventure.
