I am passionate about social justice and I volunteer for several community development organisations in Tasmania. I see volunteering as a form of activism and an opportunity to connect with different communities on an individual level. I am a firm believer in the importance of mental health and I am determined to raise awareness of this through my volunteer work.
To stay updated within the field, I frequently take part in academically renowned conferences. I have presented many academic papers on restorative justice in various national and international conferences including at the National University of Singapore, University of Padova and Russian-Armenian University in Armenia. I am currently studying for a PhD in Criminology at the University of Tasmania.
I am an expert in the Sinhala language and can communicate fluently with Sri Lankan clients.
