Commercial Litigation Property Lawyers

Proud History, Bold Future, Since 1834

Jack Tammens

Senior Associate

Disputes can cut across different areas of law and rarely arrive neatly packaged.  I help clients identify the issues that matter, understand their options and work towards an efficient resolution, including through advocacy when court or tribunal proceedings are required.

I practise across a broad range of commercial and related disputes, including employment law, trust and estate litigation, planning, environment and local government matters.

I also have an interest and experience in intellectual property disputes, administrative and regulatory matters, sports and media law, and criminal law, which allows me to assist clients across a diverse range of issues.

I provide clear, practical advice and have a strong interest in advocacy, regularly appearing on behalf of clients in courts and tribunals.

Before joining Dobson Mitchell Allport, I was Associate to Associate Justice Holt at the Supreme Court of Tasmania, where I gained valuable insight into court processes and judicial decision-making.

Outside of work, I play football for the Cygnet Football Club and am involved in submission grappling as both a coach and competitor.
