Fran Dutton

Paralegal

Administering an estate after losing someone can feel overwhelming.  I guide executors through the process one step at a time, answer their questions and work to make their responsibilities as clear and manageable as possible.

I am an Estate Administration Paralegal based in our Devonport office and work closely with clients throughout the estate administration process.

I take pride in building genuine relationships with clients.  I believe taking the time to explain each step clearly, answer questions and make sure people feel heard can make a significant difference during what is often a difficult period in their lives.

In addition to estate administration, I assist our lawyers with the preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney.

Before joining Dobson Mitchell Allport, I spent more than 11 years working in the finance industry with superannuation funds and investment platforms.  I also developed a strong understanding of the Centrelink system while assisting clients to navigate their entitlements.  That experience gives me a useful understanding of many of the financial matters that can arise during estate administration.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling around Tasmania with my husband and our little Westie cross in our caravan.  I also love spending time in my craft room, getting creative and unwinding.
