Commercial Litigation Property Lawyers

Proud History, Bold Future, Since 1834

Craig Mackie

Principal Lawyer

Complex disputes often demand both careful analysis and decisive advocacy.  I help clients understand the issues, develop a clear strategy and navigate court, tribunal and regulatory processes with confidence.

I am an experienced courtroom advocate and regularly appear across Tasmania’s courts and tribunals.

I advise and represent clients in complex matters including commercial and contractual disputes, historical abuse claims, disciplinary and professional misconduct proceedings, regulatory compliance matters, coronial investigations and criminal law.

I bring clarity and precision to technically complex matters and focus on ensuring clients understand both the legal issues and the strategy being pursued.

Alongside my client work, I am a presiding member of the Tasmanian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, Deputy Chairperson of the Legal Profession Disciplinary Tribunal of Tasmania, and a member of the Local Government Code of Conduct Panel.

I am also Chair of the Tasmanian Law Reform Institute and a Director of the National Trust Tasmania Board.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading and bushwalking.
