Craig Mackie

Principal Lawyer

Craig Mackie is a Principal Lawyer in Dobson Mitchell Allport’s Dispute Resolution & Litigation team and an experienced courtroom advocate, appearing regularly across Tasmania’s courts and tribunals.

He advises and represents clients in a range of complex matters, including commercial and contractual disputes, historical abuse claims, disciplinary and professional misconduct proceedings, regulatory compliance matters, coronial investigations and criminal law.

Craig is known for his strong advocacy and his ability to navigate technically complex matters with clarity and precision.

In addition to his client work, Craig holds a number of significant appointments.  He is a presiding member of the Tasmanian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, Deputy Chairperson and presiding member of the Legal Profession Disciplinary Tribunal of Tasmania, a member of the Local Government Code of Conduct Panel, and Chair of the Tasmanian Law Reform Institute.

Outside of work, Craig enjoys reading and bushwalking.
