Commercial Litigation Property Lawyers

Proud History, Bold Future, Since 1834

Alex Bobbi

Principal Lawyer

Commercial and property decisions often involve competing priorities, tight timeframes and significant risk.  I help clients identify what matters most, understand their options and move transactions forward with confidence.

I advise Tasmanian and national clients on complex commercial and property matters, working with business owners, developers, property owners, government bodies, not-for-profits and educational institutions.

My work includes business sales and acquisitions, property transactions, leasing and development matters.  I am also regularly called on to resolve issues that arise during a transaction, including risk, title and financing matters.

I take a direct and practical approach.  My focus is on identifying the key issues early and giving clients commercially grounded advice they can act on, particularly where matters involve time pressure, multiple stakeholders or evolving issues.

I have advised on a range of significant projects, including multi-million dollar residential, commercial and agricultural developments and transactions.

I contribute to the profession as a member of the Law Council of Australia’s National Electronic Conveyancing System Committee and the Law Society of Tasmania’s Property and Commercial Law Committee, and I regularly present on developments in commercial and property law.

Outside of work, I am a proud father of two young children and enjoy gardening, bushwalking and spending time outdoors.
